Jurassic Roadshow

Time:  10 am to 3 pm
Location:  Amherst Town Common
Fee:  None

Affiliated with the Pocumtuck Valley Memorial Association in Deerfield, Massachusetts, the Jurassic Roadshow began in 2010 to foster interest in the Connecticut River Valley's dinosaur tracks and fossils.  The program uses local experts to show their personal collection of trace fossils, to answer questions about the dinosaurs that once roamed the Connecticut River Valley, and to keep interest in the past alive and well!

The Roadshow planned for Amherst will feature institutions and individuals from the Amherst/Five Colleges area, including the Amherst College Geology Department, the Mount Holyoke College Geology Department, the Eric Carle Museum, the Jones Library, and even the Emily Dickinson Museum! The Emily Dickinson Museum's booth will highlight the poet's extensive scientific education and share poems that make use of that education.

All ages are welcome.  Follow developments at the Roadshow's blog, http://jurassicroadshow.wordpress.com/.
