Tour Center Coordinator

The Tour Center Coordinator facilitates the daily operation of the Emily Dickinson Museum's tour program to ensure excellent and welcoming visitor experiences for a diverse and growing audience. The Tour Center Coordinator is chiefly based in the Tour Center, which houses the ticket counter, Museum shop, and orientation exhibits. During open hours, the Tour Center Coordinator operates the desk and manages Museum Guides, Museum Assistants, and at times the Assistant Tour Center Coordinator. The Tour Center Coordinator will also be trained as a tour guide, giving tours when needed, maintaining knowledge of current trends in Dickinson studies and museum best practices, and ensuring an intentionally inclusive experience for all visitors.

Emily Dickinson Museum Guide (Part-Time)

Guides are responsible for facilitating the Museum’s primary public program, providing rich and engaging tours of the historic Dickinson homes. Guides welcome diverse visitors to the Museum and provide essential visitor services as greeters and tour monitors.
Guides complete a training course of several hours per week for up to six weeks. Training includes completion of at home reading assignments, attendance at weekly training sessions, and observation of guided and audio tours. Guides will participate in enrichment and training activities throughout the year, including monthly guide meetings.
