Wreaths & Swags with Karl Longto

Preserve the scents and sights of summer in a seasonal wreath or swag! Following floral demonstrations from expert gardener Karl Longto, participants will design their own using sweet annie, celosia, gomphrena, amaranth and other natural materials that will dry in place.  All materials provided.

 $15 adults/$10 Volunteers (September 29 & 30)

Propogating Figs with Marta McDowell

Sunday, September 30

Emily Dickinson’s mother grew figs?--and you can, too!  Gardener-in-residence Marta McDowell will lead participants in propagating figs from cuttings. Take home your fig, and grow inside for the winter to plant outside next summer. We will also have a demonstration of trenching a fig for winter protection.

$8 adults/Free to Volunteers (September 29 & 30)
