The parlor at The Evergreens is a large, formal room off the front stair hall. Containing many comfortable places to sit and entertain guests, the room is also characterized by three large french doors which lead out to the Italianate piazza on the west side of the house. Large paintings in gilded frames line the walls and a marble fireplace is the focal point of the room, bearing a copy of the Cupid and Psyche sculpture by Italian artist Antonio Canova.
