The Cupola Society ($2,500 or more)
Individuals and couples who give $2,500 or more to the Museum meet at Amherst for an annual dinner and related programs. Members are enthusiastic advocates of the Museum, lending counsel and support to the enterprise. The society is named for the cupola atop the Homestead from which the Dickinsons had a commanding 360-degree view of their nineteenth century world.
The Indian Pipe Society ($1,000)
Donors of $1,000 and up gather yearly in Dickinson’s Amherst home to enjoy a special program of appreciation. The group is named for the bloom Emily Dickinson called “the preferred flower of life” when neighbor Mabel Todd painted its picture for her. The image was later imprinted on the covers of the first three Todd-edited volumes of Dickinson’s poems.
The Humming Bird Society ($500)
Those who contribute $500 or more each year to support the Museum’s operating budget are invited to an annual program with a behind-the-scenes peek at the Museum’s current projects. The Society is named for the bird that Dickinson immortalized as “A Route of Evanescence,” in a poem she sent to six different friend.
Pollinator ($250)
Gifts of $250 or more provide substantial funding for our most essential tours and services, ensuring that thousands of visitors each year have a powerful encounter with Emily Dickinson’s home and poetry.
Contributor ($100)
Gifts of $100 or more are the backbone of the Emily Dickinson Museum’s annual fund. These gifts help us keep the two historic Dickinson homes open and nurture new programs.
